Working for yourself has to be the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. For every postive there is an equally strong negative waiting for you.
Instead of spending long hours working for myself I could spend much less time and achieve a much more immediate reward by going back to the office grind.
So I’m wondering. Is it worth it to be independent? Anyone have an opinion? I know even with all the difficulties I’m still glad I did it.
After receiving some feedback from Daniel Schoone letting me know that facelift didn’t work when prototype was in use, I decided to work on an updated release.
The best comedy on TV with the worst taste is It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia. I just finished watching the third season and found it just as hilarious as the first two.
The show is about four friends in their late 20s who run an unsuccessful Irish bar, “Paddy’s Pub,” in South Philadelphia. The series deals with a variety of controversial topics, including abortion, gun control, physical disabilities, racism, sexism, religion, the Israeli/Palestinian situation, terrorism, transsexuality, slavery, incest, sexual harassment in education, the homeless, statutory rape, drug addiction, pedophilia, child abuse, mental illness, gay rights, prostitution and Nazis.
And I just read that Fox has already signed them for another 39 episodes which means at least a season 6.
Until the new episodes air enjoy this promo music video for the show.
This is the second time i’ve made it to the movie theater in the last year and I was not disappointed. Very rarely does a movie come along that is worth the price of admission and The Dark Knight is it.
Where to start? Heath Ledger as the Joker was absolutely amazing. The story was amazing. The movie just kept on going — and not in a bad way like the third Lord of the Ring. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll stop there. The only thing that could have possibly made this movie better was an R rating.
Favorite Scene: Joker doing magic and making a pencil disappear. What a way to get things rolling.
If you loved or even liked Batman as a kid then go see this movie. It is a much deserved #1 on IMDB.
Clidesdale is an ajax development script that helps developers quickly create and deploy dynamic web pages using ajax. Features include offline detection, multiple call options, and a bunch of other stuff.
Version 1.5 is a release that is more symbolic than an actual release. I created clidesdale years ago for use with my personal projects and it has since grown and been refined time and time again.
This version is a halfway point to the yet unstarted version 2.0. Version 2 will be completely rewritten and include much more functionality while keeping everything simple.
Facelift started as a test project to replace email addresses in web pages with image representations to prevent spam. It worked, but I lost interest in it and it sat on my hard drive collecting dust.
And that is where it stayed until just recently when I remembered it was there, and realized that it could be used for much more.
I rewrote everything from the ground up and added in many additional features and decided to release it to the public. At the moment there is no license attached but I plan on making it GPL whenever I get around to adding the headers to the tops of the files. So consider this my notification to you. The code is GPL’d.
There are still many additional features that I would like to add but at the moment, the software works. So go ahead and grab a copy and see if it will suit your needs!
I’ve finally gotten around to getting this site up. Its been on my list for some time now.
Why do I need a personal website? With all the projects I have going on in many different arenas I thought that it would be good have one central location for everything me. Here you will find information about my personal projects as well as my professional.
At the moment it is more a running notebook and storage locker for myself, but feel free to poke around.
