Keyboards and drum machines at the keyboard museum

December 11th, 2008

I recently discovered the Keyboard Museum which is a collection of flash versions of drum machines and keyboards.  It looks like the site hasn’t been updated in forever but it is still pretty cool and fun to play with all the drum machines and keyboards.

I think my favorite is the “Virtual BeeGee’s Rhythm Machine” by Mattel

We’ve come along way since Kraftwerk.

The Best Worst Comedy on TV

July 30th, 2008

The best comedy on TV with the worst taste is It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia.  I just finished watching the third season and found it just as hilarious as the first two.

I think Wikipedia describes it best:

The show is about four friends in their late 20s who run an unsuccessful Irish bar, “Paddy’s Pub,” in South Philadelphia. The series deals with a variety of controversial topics, including abortion, gun control, physical disabilities, racism, sexism, religion, the Israeli/Palestinian situation, terrorism, transsexuality, slavery, incest, sexual harassment in education, the homeless, statutory rape, drug addiction, pedophilia, child abuse, mental illness, gay rights, prostitution and Nazis.

And I just read that Fox has already signed them for another 39 episodes which means at least a season 6.

Until the new episodes air enjoy this promo music video for the show.

Just saw “The Dark Knight” — Wow

July 30th, 2008

Wow.  Just wow.

This is the second time i’ve made it to the movie theater in the last year and I was not disappointed.  Very rarely does a movie come along that is worth the price of admission and The Dark Knight is it.

Where to start? Heath Ledger as the Joker was absolutely amazing.  The story was amazing.  The movie just kept on going — and not in a bad way like the third Lord of the Ring.  I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll stop there.  The only thing that could have possibly made this movie better was an R rating.

Favorite Scene: Joker doing magic and making a pencil disappear.  What a way to get things rolling.

If you loved or even liked Batman as a kid then go see this movie.  It is a much deserved #1 on IMDB.
